At Mickie's, we feel that being a part of the Neighborhood also means being a good neighbor. That's why we created The First Monday Partner program.
This unique promotion is designed to give a little back to the surrounding communities that have so enthusiastically
supported us and to also offer the opportunity for members of the community to come out and support the various organizations
that lend a helping hand to those less fortunate.
On the First Monday of every month a non-profit organization will receive fifteen percent of the entire days' sales. Two months
prior to the event, we will issue aprons to the Partners for decorating. At one month prior to the event we will market the event by
word of mouth, table tents, window poster, and our normal advertising venues already in place in addition to the charities' mailing list
and our chalkboards.
When the First Monday arrives, a cameo spot on the Y107 morning program will be setup for a member to address the public. During the event,
volunteers from the Partner organization will mingle amongst the diners, decked out in their specially decorated aprons carrying with them
pitchers of water and tea. They will be offering refills at the tables which will present the opportunity to chat with the guests. This
will provide an opportunity to share additional information about the program being highlighted as well and provide the guests with a human
touch that can only come with an intimate setting such as a dining experience.
Table tents, posters, or other printed advertising materials should be provided by the Partner, however Mickie's can provide these at no
charge. Mickie's will provide simple basic White Aprons to the Partner for decorating purposes. The intent is for the Partner to have
members of the community that they help decorate these aprons, which will add that special personal touch.
Partners should provide enough volunteers to ensure that there will be a representative at all times on the floor to provide drinks to the
guests. It is recommended that 3 be available at lunch and dinner as a minimum. Additionally, these volunteers must be capable of carrying
a pitcher of water/tea.
At the end of the day, all sales will be tabulated and 15% of the days sales (after sales taxes) will donated to your organization for your
generous help. A few days after the 1st Monday event, a photo session will be setup to commemorate the event.. These will shared with
partners and the Newspaper for potential publication in the Community Page articles.
